Westerford High School Service Day and uKunika Concert
Following Westerford High School’s successful Service Day and uKunika Charity Concert, sponsored by Gearhouse, Touareg Tents, and Sound Works, all the profits from the day’s activities were donated to the Peninsula School Feeding Association. The Peninsula School Feeding Association is an incredible NGO that provides over 28,000 underprivileged learners with a healthy breakfast and lunch every school day, all over the Cape Peninsula, as they believe (and we agree) that you can’t teach a hungry child. As the pupils of Westerford High School, we managed to raise R35 000 to donate to the PSFA, which means that, at R450 per learner, we will be able to provide 78 learners with meals for an entire year! This is so encouraging for us as a school, as it really shows us what an incredible impact we can have when we all work together. If you want to find out more about the PSFA, or help them out with their work yourself, you can visit their website at http://www.psfa.org.za .
